About the Role
The Vice President of Product at Clariquant is responsible for leading the development and execution of the product strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the alignment of AI products with market needs and company goals. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, while managing cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, design, and marketing. The VP Product will also ensure that AI solutions are user-centric, ethical, and scalable, while working to continuously improve product offerings based on customer feedback and emerging trends in AI technology. Additionally, the VP will lead efforts to integrate ethical AI practices and reduce biases in product development.

Product Vision and Strategy
Define the Product Vision: Develop and communicate a compelling product vision that aligns with the company's overall strategy, focusing on AI-driven solutions.
Product Roadmap: Own and continuously update the product roadmap to reflect market opportunities, customer feedback, technological advancements, and business objectives.
Strategic Alignment: Ensure that product initiatives are aligned with broader company goals, customer needs, and industry trends. Stay ahead of emerging AI technologies, competitors, and regulatory landscapes.
AI Ethics and Inclusion: Integrate ethical considerations and fairness into product strategy, ensuring that AI products are transparent, inclusive, and free of biases.
Leadership and Team Development
Lead Product Teams: Manage and inspire a cross-functional product team, including product managers, designers, and user researchers. Foster collaboration between engineering, data science, marketing, and customer support teams.
Mentorship and Growth: Provide mentorship and career development for junior and mid-level product managers, creating an environment that fosters professional growth and innovation.
Recruitment: Help build out the product organization by hiring top talent and cultivating a high-performance, diverse, and inclusive product team.
Product Lifecycle Management
End-to-End Product Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to development, launch, and iteration, ensuring a seamless process from concept to delivery.
Prioritization and Roadmap Execution: Work with product managers and engineering leads to prioritize features, balancing customer demand, technical feasibility, and business value. Ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to maintain high product quality standards, especially in terms of usability, functionality, and ethical AI practices.
Customer-Centric Development: Lead efforts to continuously gather customer feedback and insights, ensuring that products are user-centered and solve real, tangible problems.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with the CTO, CEO, and other executive team members to align product strategy with broader company goals. Partner with engineering, data science, marketing, and sales to ensure seamless execution.
Customer and Market Insights: Engage with key customers, users, and stakeholders to understand market needs, user behaviors, and pain points. Use this feedback to shape the product roadmap and features.
External Partnerships: Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with other organizations, startups, and research institutions to co-develop or enhance product offerings.
Innovation and Competitive Analysis
Market Trends: Stay at the forefront of AI and technology trends, identifying new opportunities for product innovation. Monitor industry advancements and competitor strategies to ensure that the company remains competitive.
AI Ethics Leadership: Position the company as a leader in responsible AI by working to set and maintain the highest ethical standards in product development.
Product Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation within the product team, encouraging experimentation and the development of next-generation AI technologies.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Analytics and KPIs: Leverage data and metrics to evaluate product performance, including usage patterns, customer feedback, and market impact. Use this data to inform product decisions and identify areas for improvement.
A/B Testing and Iteration: Drive experimentation and optimization within products through A/B testing, user feedback loops, and rapid iteration. Use insights to fine-tune features and deliver maximum value to customers.
Go-To-Market Strategy and Product Launches
Product Launch Leadership: Coordinate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to plan and execute successful product launches, ensuring alignment with market positioning and customer needs.
Market Education: Work with marketing and sales teams to develop customer-facing materials that clearly communicate the value of AI products, particularly with respect to solving specific business challenges.
Customer Adoption: Develop strategies for driving user adoption, engagement, and retention, ensuring that AI products meet customer expectations and deliver measurable business impact.
